In the blink of an eye, it was decided. Violet would be the queen whether she liked it or not. There would be no life of adventure for her. As she looked longingly through the window she saw her dreams fly away like a million butterflies. Violet looked at the distant mysterious mountains and wished she could be there, exploring, and living a life that wasn’t planned out. In only a few days she would be married off, and at that time she would lose any freedom she had known. She looked up at the birds flying overhead. She imagined she was flying way up high with the birds. The air through her feathers, the weightlessness of everything
